the GPX import feature stopped working after updating to iOS 13. When trying to share a GPX file from the files app Trails is no longer listed as target. Same thing happens when I try to AirDrop a GPX file from my Macbook to my iPhone, Trails does not appear as a target for the file.

Same problem here, the only method i found working was importing from a URL.
You go into the Import screen, the one that shows gpsies tracks and on the bottom right you have an import button. You select “Paste an URL”.
Now you need to get your GPX somewhere on the web. I used dropbox where you can generate links.
As far as other methods go, anything that touches the filesystem in any way is broken, probably due to the app not getting an update for iOS13 and some of the document type settings.
