Since updating my iPhone to iOS 14, Trails occasionally causes iOS to post a “Trails pasted from <app>” message, indicating that Trails is gobbling whatever is in my clipboard. This is a privacy issue, and I have no reason to believe that Trails has any business reading from the clipboard. Why is Trails doing this, and how can its behavior be stopped?
More info: This doesn’t happen every time I use Trails. It only seems to happen if I’ve recently copied some data to the clipboard. Other problematic apps that have been exposed by iOS 14’s new paste notice seem to do this every time they are invoked or brought to the foreground.
